Latest information about Brazilian election: [[Dilma Rousseff]] won the second turn of our presidential election, which ocurred today (Oct. 31th) disputing against José Serra. She'll be the first female president of Brazil. She received almost 56% of the valid votes (excluding the blank or the null votes). The count of votes in Brazil is rapid because 100% of the ballot boxes are electronical and, after the election is finished, they are connected to a protected computer network, which transmit the data to the central computers of the Supreme Electoral Court (Tribunal Superior Eleitoral - TSE). It's impossible to atempt to violate or modify the data without destroying the machines, because each one receives a number that only the central computer of TSE recognizes it. The election finished at 5:00 PM (Brasília time). Now it's 9:04 PM and more than 98% of the votes are counted. (João Xavier)
